1. NO PURCHASE NECESSARY. OPEN TO INTERNET USERS WHO LOG ON TO THE OFFICE.COM MILLION DOLLAR BONUS GAME & SWEEPSTAKES SITE AND, FOR THE BONUS GAME AND THE COMPUTER BAG RANDOM DRAWING, TO INDIVIDUALS WHO MAIL IN THE REQUESTED INFORMATION. The Office.com “Million Dollar Bonus Game & Sweepstakes” (the “Promotion”) begins at 12:00:01 a.m. Eastern Time (“E.T.”) on Wednesday March 15, 2000 and ends at 11:59:59 p.m. E.T. on Monday May 15, 2000 (the “Sweepstakes Period”).  Only one (1) player registration/play per individual or email address per day (defined as a 24-hour period beginning at 12:00 a.m. ET and ending at 11:59 p.m. ET).  Individuals registering separately using the same email address will be treated as one entrant. Only one prize may be awarded per person and e-mail address.

2. The Bonus Game Prize is an annuity payable in equal annual installments of $40,000.00 over 25 years with no interest. If the Bonus Game Prize (as set forth in rule 7 below) is not won or claimed or if the potential winner is not eligible, the Bonus Game Prize will NOT be awarded in the unclaimed prize drawing.  If more than one qualified winner matches the winning 6-number combination for the Bonus Game Prize, the prize will be equally shared among each winner (see rule 7).  If a potential winner of one of the laptop computer bags or the Refer-a-Friend Sweepstakes prize is ineligible or if they are unable to be located or if they do not claim their prize, then a random drawing of all remaining entries will be made to determine a new winner of one of the laptop computer bags or the vehicle.  Only the stated number of prizes in these Official Rules will be awarded (see rule 7).

3. ELIGIBILITY: The Promotion is only open to legal U.S. residents of the United States living in the United States who are 18 years of age or older as of March 15, 2000 (misrepresentation of age requirement will void the entry). Employees, officers and directors of Office.com Inc., COHEN-FRIEDBERG ASSOCIATES/C.O.M.P., STREAMedia.com, LLC, prize suppliers, their respective affiliates, subsidiaries, advertising, promotion, fulfillment and marketing agencies, their immediate family members and/or those living in the same household of each are NOT eligible to participate in the Promotion.  By entering the Promotion or participating in any Promotion or prize-related activity, participants agree to release, discharge and hold harmless Office.com Inc., COHEN-FRIEDBERG ASSOCIATES/C.O.M.P., STREAMedia.com, LLC, SCA Promotions, their respective affiliates, subsidiaries, retailers, agencies and their respective officers, directors, employees and agents, from any injury, loss or damages of any kind that may arise out of participation in the Promotion or out of the acceptance, use, misuse possession of any prize(s).  By participating, you agree to be bound by these “Official Rules” and to the decision of the judges (COHEN-FRIEDBERG ASSOCIATES/C.O.M.P.), which are final and binding in all respects.  Void where prohibited by law, rule or regulation.  All Federal, State and local laws and regulations apply.

4. HOW TO PLAY AND ENTER:  The Office.com “Million Dollar Bonus Game” is an electronic and mail-in random entry number game, sponsored by Office.com. You may enter online or by mail only one (1) time per day for a chance to win the Bonus Game Prize or 1 of 250 Office.com Laptop Computer Bags.  You may only enter online to participate in the Refer-A-Friend portion of the Promotion for a chance to win a Mercedes-Benz.  When entering online for a chance to win the Bonus Game Prize or 1 of 250 Office.com Laptop Computer Bags, you must connect to the Internet and navigate to http://sweepstakes.office.com/bonus.  To enter the Bonus Game online, you must select and enter in the appropriate area, your selection of six (6) numbers from 1 to 30 (do not enter any number more than once in any single entry) in a particular order plus your first and last name and your e-mail address in the online entry form located at http://sweepstakes.office.com/bonus. THIS DATA MUST BE ACCURATE AS IT WILL DETERMINE THE VALIDITY OF YOUR GAME PLAY ENTRY, WILL BE USED AS PART OF GAME SECURITY AND FOR THE DELIVERY OF ANY PRIZE THAT MAY BE WON. IF INACCURATE INFORMATION IS SUPPLIED (I.E., EMAIL ADDRESS IS INCORRECT AND/OR RETURNED OR IF THE PRIZE NOTIFICATION EMAIL MESSAGE IS INCORRECT AND/OR RETURNED TO OFFICE.COM OR ITS AGENTS), IT WILL PREVENT THE AWARDING OF ANY PRIZE YOU MAY HAVE QUALIFIED FOR. 

To enter the Promotion by mail, (only for the chance to win the Bonus Game Prize or 1 of 250 Office.com Laptop Computer Bags), you must legibly print your first and last name, street address, email address (if applicable) and your selection of six (6) numbers from 1 to 30 (do not enter any number more than once in any single entry) in a particular order on a 3 inch X 5 inch postcard only and mail it to: Office.com “Million Dollar Bonus”, P.O. Box 2001, Framingham, MA 01703-2001.  All entries must be postmarked no later than May 15, 2000 and received no later than May 22, 2000.  Proof of mailing is not proof of delivery and/or receipt. Your number will be recorded in the exact order entered.

LIMIT ONE BONUS GAME ENTRY (WHETHER ONLINE OR BY MAIL) PER DAY. More than one entry from any person or email address per day, whether online or by mail, will void all entries from that person or email address.No photocopies, reproductions, or automatically generated entries, or facsimiles are allowed. COHEN-FRIEDBERG ASSOCIATES/C.O.M.P. and Office.com are not responsible for late, lost, illegible, incomplete, stolen, misdirected or postage due mail.

5. If you are notified that you are a potential Bonus Game winner, see rule 9. Only the potential winner(s) will be notified. If you are not the Bonus Game winner, you will be automatically entered in a random drawing to win 1 of 250 Office.com Laptop Computer Bags (the “Random Drawing”).
6. HOW TO WIN:  If your Bonus Game entry exactly matches, in the same exact order, the six-number combination which has been randomly pre-selected as the $1,000,000 Bonus Game winning combination, you will be notified that you are eligible to claim the Bonus Game Prize (subject to verification of eligibility, see rules 14 and 17).  Your number will be recorded in the exact order entered/played (“exact order”).  The randomly pre-selected “winning combination” is the one stored in the COHEN-FRIEDBERG ASSOCIATES/C.O.M.P. database only. The “winning combination” must be matched on a single submitted play only. Numbers cannot be combined from any other number combination submitted by entrants for any other or same day submission. Each submitted entry stands on its own. The more days you enter, the greater your chance of winning.

7. THE BONUS GAME PRIZE:  The $1,000,000 Bonus Game prize is an annuity payable in equal installments of $40,000.00 over 25 years with no interest. Odds of matching the six-number combination in the same exact order: 1:427,518,000.  If the Bonus Game Prize is not won, is unclaimed, or the potential winner is not eligible, the Bonus Game Prize will not be awarded.  If more than one eligible individual correctly selects the winning six-number combination, the Bonus Game Prize will be equally shared among the winners as an annuity payable over 25 years with no interest.

8. RANDOM DRAWING PRIZES:  On or about May 25, 2000, two hundred and fifty (250) Random Drawing Prize winners will be selected in a random drawing from among all eligible entries in the Bonus Game to receive an Office.com laptop computer bag. (The Office.com laptop computer bag is made of BallisTex with Tech PVC trim, it has a padded interior to protect the laptop computer, a padded front pocket to protect CDs and cell phones, an adjustable hide-away backpack strap, approximately 12 ½ inches x 15 inches x 5 inches and is imprinted on the front pocket with the Office.com logo).  Approximate Retail Value of each Random Drawing Prize:  $60.00 (Total Approximate Retail Value for Random Drawing Prizes: $15,000.) Odds of winning a Random Drawing Prize depend on the total number of eligible entries received. In the event a Random Drawing Prize is not available at the time it is awarded, Office.com reserves the right to substitute prizes of equal or greater value.

9. BONUS GAME NOTIFICATIONS: Potential Bonus Game and Random Drawing Prize winners will be sent their prize-winning notification via electronic mail (email), if applicable, and/or notification will be confirmed by postal mail. The notification will include an Affidavit of Eligibility, Liability Release and Publicity Release. A potential Bonus Game or Random Drawing Prize winner(s) has ten (10) days from receipt of notification to claim his/her prize by completing, signing and returning the prize Affidavit of Eligibility, Liability Release and where lawful, Publicity Release forms.  Non-compliance with these Official Rules, or if a selected potential winner cannot be contacted, provides incorrect email or mailing address, is ineligible, fails to claim a prize, or fails to return the completed and executed Affidavits and Releases, as required, or if the Prize Notification or prize is returned as undeliverable, the Bonus Game Prize will not be awarded and an alternate winner for the Random Drawing Prize will be randomly selected from all eligible entries received. NO ALTERNATIVE WINNER WILL BE SELECTED FOR THE BONUS GAME PRIZE. Acceptance of a prize constitutes permission for Office.com to use winner’s name and likeness for advertising, publicity and promotional purposes without additional compensation, unless otherwise prohibited by law.
10. THE “REFER-A-FRIEND” SWEEPSTAKES:  The Bonus Game and Sweepstakes entry page provides a “Refer A Friend” Sweepstakes opportunity to win a Model Year 2000 Mercedes Benz SLK Roadster Convertible (the “Convertible”). For each friend you refer, by providing your friend’s name and valid email address, one sweepstakes entry to win the Convertible will automatically be entered under your name. Entrants may refer up to four (4) different friends per day during the Sweepstakes Period.  Office.com (or it agents) will then send to each friend you refer an email “invitation” which is a streaming multimedia email invitation containing a link to play the Office.com Million Dollar Bonus Sweepstakes and an Office.com commercial which requires no plug-in to be viewed.

11. If the email message to your friend is returned as undeliverable because the address is not a valid email address or the address is temporarily unavailable, one entry into the “Refer-A-Friend” Sweepstakes will be deducted from your eligible entries. This opportunity to win the Convertible is open to eligible participants who have registered online for the Bonus Game and opt to participate in the “Refer A Friend” sweepstakes.  By submitting a name and email address, you represent and warrant that you do so with the express permission of the individual whose information you are providing.  If Office.com or its agents receive a complaint from the individual attributable to the name and email address provided by you, you will be disqualified from the “Refer-A-Friend” Sweepstakes.

12.  THE “REFER-A-FRIEND” SWEEPSTAKES PRIZE:  The winner of the “Refer-A-Friend” Sweepstakes will receive a Model Year 2000 Mercedes Benz SLK Roadster Convertible.  Prize includes: air conditioning, automatic transmission, AM/FM stereo/cassette player, power windows and power locks. Solely Office.com will determine color, features and accessories of the Convertible.  Approximate Retail Value: $41,000.00. Winner must possess, under his/her name, a valid U.S. driver’s license and must show proof of insurance in order to claim the prize.  Vehicle will be delivered to the authorized Mercedes Benz Dealer nearest to winner’s home address.  Winner will be responsible to arrange to take delivery/possession of the vehicle at their expense from the dealer. Winner is responsible for all tax, title, license, registration, plate charges, delivery charges and dealer preparation charges as they may apply.

13. THE “REFER-A-FRIEND” SWEEPSTAKES DRAWING: On or about May 25, 2000, a random drawing will be conducted from all eligible entries received in the “Refer-A-Friend” Sweepstakes portion of the Promotion to select one (1) winner to receive the Convertible.  The winner of the Convertible will be notified by email. 14. PRIZES AVAILABLE AND VERIFICATION:  All prize-winning claims in the Promotion are subject to verification.  In no event will Office.com be obligated to award more than the stated number of prizes offered in this promotion.  Prizes will be awarded when they become available.

15. PRIVACY: Information provided by participants in the Bonus Game and the Refer-A-Friend Sweepstakes will only be used in accordance with Office.com’s Privacy Policy (http://www.office.com/global/Privacy/privacy_policy) as amended from time to time.  Any valid email address submitted for entry into the Bonus Game portion of the promotion will be subscribed to the Office.com weekly email newsletter and may be used to contact the entrant via email with notification of his or her potential win. Upon receiving the newsletter, entrant may opt-out of receiving further issues.  Solely for the purposes of this Promotion, entrant’s name and email address will be collected by Office.com and sweepstakes agency Cohen-Freidberg Associates and shared via a secure method with email services provider Post Communications. Any valid email address submitted for entry into the Refer-A-Friend portion of the Promotion will be automatically sent a one-time email invitation to participate in the Bonus Game & Sweepstakes on behalf of the referrer and Office.com. Solely for the purposes of this Promotion, entrant and referral’s email address will be collected by Office.com and sweepstakes agency Cohen-Friedberg Associates and shared via a secure method with email services provider STREAMedia, LLC. Cohen-Friedberg Associates, Post Communications and STREAMedia are under no circumstances permitted to use entrant’s or referral’s email address for any other purpose than those stated above and are under no circumstances authorized to sell entrant’s or referral’s email address to any third party.

17. GENERAL RULES & MISCELLANEOUS:  All entries become the sole property of Office.com and none will be returned. Entries made via the Internet will be deemed made by the authorized account holder of the email address submitted at time of entry. The authorized account holder is deemed as the natural person who is assigned to an email address by an Internet access provider, online service provider or other organization that is responsible for assigning email addresses or the domain associated with the submitted email address.  If the potentially winning entry is an Internet or other computer entry, the potential winner may be required to provide COHEN-FRIEDBERG ASSOCIATE/C.O.M.P., with proof that the potential winner is the authorized account holder of the email address associated with the potentially winning entry.  Office.com, COHEN-FRIEDBERG and all other Sponsors of this promotion are not responsible for any typographical/other error in printing of the offer, administration of the Promotion or the announcement of prizes or winning numbers.  Verification of prize claims and conduct of all drawings are under supervision of COHEN-FRIEDBERG ASSOCIATES/COMP. 18. All taxes, fees, and surcharges on prizes won are the sole responsibility of the winner.

This Promotion is conducted in English (which will be given its everyday ordinary meaning) and any and all disputes will be resolved in the appropriate courts in the State of New York in the United States, exclusively, and subject to the laws of the State of New York.  Should there be a conflict between the laws of the State of New York and any other laws, the conflict will be resolved in favor of the laws of the State of New York.
