Official Rules
  1. NO PURCHASE NECESSARY. OPEN TO INTERNET USERS WHO LOG ON TO AND REGISTER FOR AND OR PLACE CALLS USING PHONEFREE AT THE PHONEFREE.COM MILLION DOLLAR LUCKY NUMBER GAME SITE. The PhoneFree.com "Million Dollar Lucky Number Game" (the "Promotion") begins at 12:00:01 a.m. Eastern Time ("E.T.") on Monday October 16, 2000 and ends at 11:59:59 p.m. E.T. on Sunday, December 10, 2000.Participants may have one (1) free play with initial game registration (a "Free Play") and one (1) bonus play (a "Bonus Play") for each three (3) minute free phone call completed on PhoneFree.com, up to a maximum of three (3) bonus game plays per day (defined as a 24-hour period beginning at 12:00 a.m. E.T. and ending at 11:59 p.m. E.T.) during the Million Dollar Lucky Number Game. Additionally for each person a participant refers to PhoneFree by providing a valid e-mail address, the participants will receive an additional entry in the "Weekly Sweepstakes Drawing" and the End of Promotion Sweepstakes Drawing. Individuals registering separately using the same email address will be treated as one entrant. Only one prize may be awarded per person.   2. If the $1,000,000 Lucky Number Game Prize (as set forth in these rules below) is not won or claimed it will NOT be awarded in an unclaimed (Second Chance) prize drawing. If more than one "Qualified Winner" (as that term is defined in Section 5 below) matches the winning 6-number combination in the exact order as the "Prize Determination Number" (as that term is defined in Section 4 below) for the $1,000,000 Lucky Number Game Prize, the prize will be equally shared among the winners (see Rule 6). Only the stated number of prizes in these Official Rules will be awarded. The $1,000,000 Lucky Number Game Prize is an annuity payable in equal installments of $40,000 over 25 years with no interest. The only winning Lucky Number combination is the one stored in the judges' (COHEN-FREIDBERG ASSOCIATES) offline database computer. 

  3. ELIGIBILITY: The Promotion is only open to legal residents of the United States living in the United States, who are at least 18 years of age or older as of 10/16/00 (misrepresentation of age requirement will void the entry). Employees, officers and directors of PhoneFree.com, COHEN-FRIEDBERG ASSOCIATES, SCA Promotions, their respective affiliates, subsidiaries, advertising, promotion, fulfillment and marketing agencies, their immediate family members and/or those living in the same household of each are NOT eligible to participate in the Promotion. By entering the Promotion or participating in any Promotion or prize-related activity, participants agree to release, discharge and hold harmless PhoneFree.com, COHEN-FRIEDBERG ASSOCIATES, their respective affiliates, subsidiaries, retailers, agencies and companies or individuals supplying or manufacturing the prizes given away as part of this promotion the "Prize Providers", their respective officers, directors, employees and agents, from any injury, loss or damages of any kind that may arise out of participation in the Promotion or out of the acceptance, use, misuse or possession of any prize(s). By participating, you agree to be bound by these "Official Rules" and to the decision of the judges (COHEN-FRIEDBERG ASSOCIATES), which are final and binding in all respects.   4. HOW TO PLAY AND ENTER: The PhoneFree.com Million Dollar Lucky Number Game is an electronic random entry number game, sponsored by PhoneFree.com. You may enter online one time (1) when registering to play and receive up to a maximum of three (3) free daily bonus plays. Entrants will receive one free bonus play for a chance to win One Million Dollars or one of the other listed prizes per each three (3) minute or longer free phone call made at PhoneFree.com. When entering online for a chance to win the One Million Dollars, you must connect to the Internet and navigate to PhoneFree.com and complete the game registration form. You may be required to complete the data fields requesting your first and last name, complete address, city, state, zip code, telephone number and e-mail address. DATA MUST BE ACCURATE AS IT WILL DETERMINE THE VALIDITY OF YOUR GAME PLAY ENTRY, WILL BE USED AS PART OF GAME SECURITY AND FOR THE DELIVERY OF ANY PRIZE YOU MAY HAVE WON. IF INACCURATE INFORMATION IS SUPPLIED (I.E., E- MAIL ADDRESS IS INCORRECT AND/OR RETURNED TO PHONEFREE.COM OR ITS AGENTS), IT WILL PREVENT THE AWARDING OF ANY PRIZE YOU MAY HAVE QUALIFIED FOR. To enter the Million Dollar Lucky Number Game online, you must select and enter in the appropriate area, your selection of six (6) numbers from 1 to 30 (do not enter any number more than once in any single entry). Your number will be recorded in the exact order entered. Six (6) winning numbers from 01-30 ("Prize Determination Number") will be pre-selected prior to the start of this promotion. Numbers cannot be combined from any other number combination submitted by entrants. Each submitted entry stands on its own. Only winners will be notified at the conclusion of the promotion.

  5. CONFIRMING PLAY If your Lucky Number Game entry exactly matches, in the same exact order, as the "Prize Determination" Number which has been randomly pre-selected as the $1,000,000 winning number, you will be notified on or about 12/27/00 that you are a "Qualified Winner" and that you are eligible to claim the PhoneFree.com Lucky Number Game Grand Prize (subject to verification of eligibility, see Rule 7) or one of the other prizes listed in this promotion. Your number will be recorded in the exact order entered/played "Exact Order". Each participant will receive a confirmation e-mail that their selected number was entered into the game database. The randomly selected "winning combination" is only the one stored in the COHEN-FRIEDBERG ASSOCIATES database. The "winning combination" must be matched on a single submitted play only. Numbers cannot be combined from any other number combination submitted by entrants for any other or same day submission. Each submitted entry stands on its own. The more days you enter, the greater your chance of winning.

  6. THE LUCKY NUMBER GAME PRIZES & ODDS:

    One (1) Grand Prize* will be awarded in this promotion. Match six (6) numbers in the exact order.

    The $1,000,000 Lucky Number Game prize is an annuity payable in equal installments of $40,000.00 over 25 years with no interest. Odds of matching the "Prize Determination" numbers in the same exact order: 1:427,518,000. *If the Lucky Number Game Prize is not won or is unclaimed, it will not be awarded. If more than one eligible individual correctly selects the winning "Prize Determination" numbers, the Lucky Number Game Grand Prize will be equally shared among the Qualified Winners as an annuity payable over 25 years with no interest.

    WEEKLY SWEEPSTAKES DRAWING Each Sunday during the promotion, starting October 22, 2000, a random drawing will be conducted from all eligible entries received prior to the drawing date to award a weekly prize. One (1) Palm Pilot prize will be awarded per drawing. A total of eight (8) such random drawings will be conducted. Estimated Retail Value $150 each. The odds of winning is based upon the total number of eligible entries received.

    END OF PROMOTION SWEEPSTAKES DRAWING At the conclusion of the promotion, a random drawing will be conducted on or about 12/23/00 from all eligible entries received in this promotion. LUCKY NUMBER GAME NOTIFICATIONS: The Qualified Winner(s) will be sent their prize-winning notification via electronic mail (E-mail), if applicable, and/or notification will be confirmed by postal/express delivery mail. The Grand Prize notification will include an Affidavit of Eligibility, Liability Release and Publicity Release. A Qualified Winner(s) has ten (10) days from receipt of notification to claim his/her prize by completing, signing and returning the prize Affidavit of Eligibility, Liability Release and where lawful, Publicity Release forms. Non-compliance with these official rules, or if a selected Qualified Winner cannot be contacted, provides incorrect E-mail or mailing address, is ineligible, fails to claim a prize, or fails to return the completed and executed Affidavits and Releases, as required, or if the Prize Notification or prize is returned as undeliverable, the Lucky Number Game Prize will not be awarded. NO ALTERNATIVE WINNER WILL BE SELECTED FOR THE LUCKY NUMBER GAME $1,000,000 GRAND RIZE IF NOT AWARDED TO THE QUALIFIED WINNER(S). If the potentially winning entry is an Internet or other computer entry, the potential winner may be required to provide COHEN-FRIEDBERG ASSOCIATES with proof that the potential winner is the authorized account holder of the email address associated with the potentially winning entry. If any Lucky Number Game entry matches, in the exact order, the pre-selected "Prize Determination" numbers, the Lucky Number Game Grand Prize will be awarded. If no Lucky Number Game entry is verified as a Grand Prize winning entry, the Lucky Number Game Grand Prize will not be awarded. All other prizes will be awarded in a random drawing from all eligible entries received prior to such a suspension. Should there be a conflict between the laws of the State of New York and any other laws, the conflict will be resolved in favor of the laws of the State of New York.
